What do our students and their parents think?
Here's what parents have to say about our courses:
"I'm sure by now you've heard from J- about the results of his SAT scores. J- was very happy and so was I. I wanted to thank you for everything. You're terrific and of course I have about 7 or 8 people waiting to get your number... I know I've told you this before but you were the only tutor that J- actually looked forward to seeing. Normally J-'s response to tutors were 'I don't need them', 'they're not helping', etc. He never said that about you and I could see how happy he was when he knew you were coming over. In addition he went up 130 points in just the two months you were tutoring him [verbal only]! I think that's pretty good. A million thanks!"

"I don't know what you said to him two weeks ago, but he's read two books since then and can't stop talking about them. He's even looking forward to taking the SAT!"
--E.D., Great Neck Estates
"My daughter told me, speaking for the whole class, 'He's Cool!' I thought you might like to know that..."
--E.D., St. Albans
"His math teacher called to let us know that he's been much more attentive in class, asking questions and really showing an interest. What's your secret?"
--J.L., Jamaica Estates
"This is the first time I've ever seen him study without us telling him to do so. He seems interested. I knew you were good when I attended your seminar, but this is really something else."
--J.D., Queens Village
Here's what our students have to say!
"Your program really helped me A LOT. While I used to dread taking the test, just waiting for the three hours to end, this time I actually kind of felt that the test was fun. With your help I was able to get my score way up and I just want to thank you for it."
--J.B., Hollis Hills
"When my parents told me I was going to be enrolled in your class I wasn't sure if I really liked the idea. The fact that the class was so cheap made me wonder what I would really be gaining from it. Since the Princeton Review class was twice as much and they had come up with all those neat little secrets about cheating the test, I thought that your course would be sort of like a cheap knock off with half the secrets. I was wrong. After the first class I was thoroughly convinced that the Princeton Review was just a scam and yours was the real deal. The College Board was obviously not a group of idiots and trying to outsmart them wasn't going to be as easy as they made it sound. After the course ended, my confidence was boosted and I became much more excited about taking the SAT. I took the test Saturday…I know I got the last problem in the last math section right and once I got it I almost jumped out of my seat and did a little dance. I was so excited and I still had time left. Thanks for everything!"
--M.B., Queens Village
"Your class helped me A LOT. I came into your class not knowing anything about the test. I was crying after taking the first practice test...Now I feel more confident and prepared to go and take my SAT!! Every technique you taught us helped me understand how to take the test. Thank you so much for eveything!"
--A.A., Bayside
"I feel much more prepared this time around than I was in May. Being more familiar with the test really helped. Also I liked how you spent a lot of time with the critical reading part of the test. Cutting up the passages phrase by phrase really helped. I liked the fact that you didn't just try to teach us ways around a question (like other courses do) but you taught us how to understand and take apart a question. No complaints at all. Definitely worth my time and money. THANKS!"
--E.E., Woodhaven
"The SAT program was excellent and very helpful. I feel ready. More than that, I’ve gained real learning skills that I never had before."
--P.D., Queens Village
"What I liked about this course was that you could speak freely without having the teacher react condescendingly. You let people speak their minds even if they didn't have the 'correct' answer and you helped guide us to the answer without embarrassing us... I would have enjoyed attending the class for another month if you were the teacher. I've never experienced the kind of open discussions we had..."
--G.R., Little Neck
"First I would like to thank you for teaching me how to improve on the SAT, since that was the point of the class. But mainly I would like to thank you because you allowed me to see life and academics from a totally different perspective. I would also like to inform you that the discussion about the skills we would need in life really impacted me. I love the way you taught us...Your class has really changed my life."
--M.L., Bayside
" I thought the class was great. Instead of just doing a lot of problems, which I could’ve done without the class, I learned strategies. Now, when I do the practice SATS, even if I don’t know the answer I can actually cross out at least 2 or 3 of the choices...You’ve really helped me. You are a great teacher and you know how to motivate and build confidence in people. The class was great."
--K.S., Bayside
"I have to say I really enjoyed this month. I felt that I wouldn't have studied at all if I wasn't taking this class. Your a great motivator!!! I definitely learned a whole lot in those 8 sessions and dare I say I’ll actually be confident when I'm sitting down for those 3 hours taking this test that will determine a portion of my life. I'm going to try to take at least 3 more practice tests before June 5th comes, and my score already went up 100 whole points!!! I'm now at a ****, which is a lot better for me and I'm definitely going to strive for higher than that because I now know I can do it. Thank you so much for all of your help!!"
--M.L., Bayside
" You have increased my confidence about both the SATs and my abilities. I very much appreciate that. Thanks a lot. The classes were great and they have really helped me. You have boosted my self-esteem and have been a great teacher."
--J.S., Bayside
" I have definitely become more familiar with the SAT. The ample amount of strategies you showed will make a big difference. I think the most valuable lesson I also learned in your class is the value of education. I always knew it was important but now want to prioritize it as it is the key to success. Thank for everything!"
--R.B., Queens Village
" You gave me (and many of the other kids in the class) confidence, which I think is very important. Before I took your class, I really thought I was going to do soooooo badly! But you showed us so many techniques that have helped so much! I think those discussions about **** **** **** **** were really interesting. They made me more aware of what I was doing while reading each passage. You were totally right about the need to **** **** ****. That helped me so much! Thank you for everything."
