score2400™ offers affordable courses to help students prepare for the new SAT. This summer we are offering a comprehensive eight-week course for high-school sophomores, juniors and seniors who want extra preparation for the October 2008 test.
The score2400™ Comprehensive SAT Review Course is designed to familiarize students with all three components of the SAT:
- Critical Reading
- Mathematics
- Writing Skills
Each course consists of eight 3-hour sessions, for a total of 24 instruction hours.

The SAT is a reasoning test that rewards students who are skilled at problem-solving. Problem-solving is only possible if a student is:
- motivated, and
- can appreciate the relevance of the problem to their daily life.
Here's where we come in!
The score2400 method connects with kids' real life concerns - social relationships, obtaining what they want in life, and getting their needs met.
Many parents marvel that their kid can spend 10 straight hours mastering Grand Theft Auto IV, or surfing mySpace and Facebook, while it's an epic struggle for them to concentrate for 5 minutes on homework. They wonder: how can my son or daughter not realize academic success is far more vital to his or her future prospects than a video game?
Some SAT prep courses treat the SAT as a game - and teach shortcuts for "success" - tips and tricks to "beat" the test. Such guess-and-check methods may improve scores somewhat, but students don't gain an understanding of how to use their brains to solve problems. These quick-and-dirty methods don't last for the test, because they don't last in life.
Still other programs take a "boot camp" approach - indoctrinating students with drills, memorization, and rote formulas. This can be effective, but only for those students already motivated to achieve in this way. Most kids don't gain by such methods because this drudgery is too abstract and disconnected from their immediate existence.
